It’s Friday evening in Faubourg Marigny, and Tinteaux’s been invited to the “Tintleman’s Ball”—a quirky community fundraiser where locals showcase their home renovations and eccentric style upgrades. Jean packs a duffel of sample swatches, decorative film rolls, and one very dazzling fleur-de-lis tie for Tinteaux’s grand debut.
Scene 1: Arrival & Ambition
The community center’s jazz trio plays soft brass as guests mingle with mint juleps and shrimp croquettes. Tinteaux tiptoes in, part gator, part gentleman.
Tinteaux (adjusting his tie): “Jean, you sure folks want to hear about Tintelligence™ between brass solos and baked brie?”
Jean (grinning): “They want flair with their function—and you’ve got both. Go show ‘em how window film becomes window fashion.”
Scene 2: The Demonstration
Under a spotlight near the art installation wall, Tinteaux sets up his demo:
-
One pane with SunTek Heat Rejection film.
-
One with fleur de lis decorative tint.
-
One completely bare.
He flips a switch. The UV lamp hums to life. Attendees gather.
Tinteaux (gesturing like a magician): “What protects your parlor from fading rugs and adds a touch of jazz club mystique? Tintelligence™, invented right here in New Orleans.”
Cheers erupt. Someone drops a canapé. It’s getting real.
Scene 3: The Bold Decision
A stylish homeowner with a feathered boa approaches.
Homeowner: “Can it go on my transom windows in the hallway? I want style but I need privacy.”
Tinteaux: “Absolutely. We’ve got Marigny Mist design for softer vibes. It would be perfect for your needs.”
Jean passes out sample cards like Mardi Gras beads. A waiting list starts forming.
Scene 4: Standing Ovation
As the raffle ends and the lights dim, the MC announces:
“Best in Show: Tinteaux, for turning glass into glamor and bringing Tintelligence™ to the people!”
He gets a sash. Jean gets three new job inquiries. The fleur-de-lis tie? Now trademarked.
