Episode 9: Mind Your Panes in Arabi

Published on 28 July 2025 at 12:06

Jean and Tinteaux head east to Arabi, where the summer sun isn’t the only thing creeping in through the windows. Miss Loretta, a proud homeowner with more flair than a French Market fruit stand, has had enough of her nosy neighbors—namely, the Peekaboo Patrol duo: Glenda Glaremore and Larry Lurker.

They lean, they stare, they casually “water their plants” for hours.

But today, privacy gets served.

Jean arrives in the window tint van with Tinteaux riding shotgun, ready to transform Loretta’s front window into stylish shields of secrecy. The choice? A chic geometric decorative tint that blends design with discretion, letting light in while keeping eyeballs out.

As Tinteaux measures and installs the decorative tint with the precision of a po’boy artist stacking shrimp, Jean explains the perks:

  • 🍃 Natural light

  • 🎭 Elegant flair

  • 🕶️ And best of all? Zero Glenda sightings from the street

Mid-installation, Glenda strolls by with binoculars camouflaged as Mardi Gras beads. Larry pretends to fix the mailbox...again. But all they see now? Frosted tint and fabulous shading.

As Loretta sips her sweet tea and waves from inside—unseen—the job wraps up with a smile and another satisfied customer.
